Manchu Pei vs Daichi Matsushita

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo,  taking place on 07/07/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Manchu Pei (9(7) - 0) who hails from Shenyang, China and Daichi Matsushita(13 - 7(3) - 3) from Hachioji, Japan.  Pei weighed in at 154 pounds, while Matsushita weighed in at 153 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Fumio Nakazawa, and the three ringside judges are Satoshi Fuse, Isamu Nonaka and Hikaru Nakamura.  

Round 1: 

Pei lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Pei lands a cross, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.

Pei is on target with a solid overhand left.  
Pei sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Matsushita throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.

Pei pivots to the right of his opponent and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Matsushita pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pei lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Pei lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Pei steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.

Matsushita closes the distance.  Pei lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  Pei ties up his opponent.  Matsushita tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pei behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pei lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Pei hits home with a sharp overhand right.  
Pei pivots from in front of his opponent.  Matsushita tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Pei tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He then lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Pei attempts to land a jab, but Matsushita sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Pei connects with a stinging cross.  
Pei hits the target with a spiteful jab.

Matsushita steps inside.  Pei is on target with a sharp left hook.  Pei holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pei pushes his forearm into Matsushita's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pei about fouling.  
Matsushita cuts off the ring, trapping Pei on the ropes.  Pei lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Matsushita gets on the inside.  Matsushita pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Pei pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pei connects with a stinging right uppercut.  Pei ties up his opponent.  Pei leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Pei tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Matsushita behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pei.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Pei's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Matsushita steps inside.  Pei senses Matsushita is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Pei lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook, cross and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MATSUSHITA!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Pei!
