Olindo Montanez vs Dai Michie

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Colisee de Quebec, Quebec City,  taking place on 08/07/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viewers Choice, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Olindo Montanez (8(4) - 0) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Dai Michie(9 - 8 - 2) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Montanez and Michie weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brendan Aitken, and the three ringside judges are James Dunlap, Prewitt Gedeon and Stephen Morton.  

Round 1: 

Michie is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Montanez sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Michie lands an overhand left.  
Montanez is on target with a stinging cross.  
Michie tries to land a left uppercut, but Montanez blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Michie attempts to land a cross, but Montanez blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Montanez steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Montanez steps inside.  Montanez pivots to the left of his opponent.  Montanez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Montanez clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Montanez pushes his forearm into Michie's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Montanez.  
Michie throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Montanez advances into close range and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Montanez ties up his opponent.  Montanez leans on his opponent using all his weight. Montanez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Michie behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Montanez lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Montanez gets on the inside.  Michie throws a left hook, but Montanez ties up his opponent.  Montanez leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Montanez lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Montanez ties up his opponent.  Montanez throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Montanez is on target with a right hook to Michie's body.  
Montanez is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Montanez throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Montanez lands a right uppercut, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Montanez lands with a stiff jab.  
Montanez pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Michie quickly recovers. 
Montanez gets on the inside and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Montanez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Montanez hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Montanez lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Montanez lands a sharp cross.  
Montanez advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Michie's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Michie's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Michie's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Round 2: 

Montanez lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Michie quickly recovers. 
Montanez lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Michie dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Montanez lands a nasty right hook.  MICHIE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Montanez connects with a cross.  
Montanez gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Montanez lands a double left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS MICHIE!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Montanez!
