Ian Jones vs Rich Waltari

Boxing Daily Report from the Wavy Gang promoted show at Peter Hickey Gym, Detroit,  taking place on 02/06/2028:

Clearly Wavy Gang have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Jones (6 - 5) who hails from Detroit, USA and Rich Waltari(10 - 0) from Grand Rapids, USA.  Both Jones and Waltari weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jasper Mudie, and the three ringside judges are Nick McGowan, Inigo McGrath and Jasper Mudie.  

Round 1: 

Jones lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Jones steps away from his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Waltari advances into close range and forces Jones to retreat onto the ropes.  Waltari lands a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jones dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Waltari sidesteps to the right of his opponent and attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Jones's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
