Alejandro Nery vs Edmundo Diaz

Boxing Daily Report from the Chibawe Promotions promoted show at Guido Salamanca Gym, Maracay,  taking place on 02/07/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Aragua Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alejandro Nery (7 - 8 - 2) who hails from Turmero, Venezuela and Edmundo Diaz(8 - 11 - 2) from Maracay, Venezuela.  Both Nery and Diaz weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jose Rafael, and the three ringside judges are Dimos Fiel, Diego Hernandes and Jeraldo Galvez.  

Round 1: 

Nery steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Nery throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Diaz's complaints and signals for the action to continue.
