Joey Saam vs Emanuel Enrique

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 10/08/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joey Saam (21(17) - 0) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Emanuel Enrique(15 - 4(3) - 1) from Puente Alto, Chile.  Both Saam and Enrique weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bradley Fortun, and the three ringside judges are Sam Lowe, Dominic Pollino and Dylan Nield.  

Round 1: 

Enrique throws a right uppercut, but Saam holds on to his opponent.  Saam is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Enrique is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Enrique sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits the target with a stinging jab.  
Enrique throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Saam advances into close range and digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
Saam lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Saam closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Saam snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Enrique hits the target with a solid jab.  
Saam finds the target with a jab.  
Saam advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Saam lands a double left hook to his opponents head.

Saam walks Enrique onto the ropes.  Saam lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Saam gets on the inside and drives a solid left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Saam gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  Saam clinches his opponent.  Saam leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Enrique pushes his forearm into Saam's face.  The referee warns Enrique and breaks the clinch.  
Saam closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS ENRIQUE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  
Saam tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.  
Saam is looking to close the distance.  Enrique is on target with a left hook.  
Enrique lands a stiff jab.  Enrique tries to land a jab, but Saam sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Saam SLAMS a mean right uppercut into his opponents face.  ENRIQUE IS HURT!  Saam throws a left uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  Enrique quickly recovers. 
Enrique lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Saam lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Saam is looking to close the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Saam connects with a solid cross.  
Enrique is on target with a cross.  Enrique tries to land a cross, but Saam dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Enrique pivots to the left of his opponent.  Enrique throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a FEARSOME right uppercut.  ENRIQUE IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Saam is looking to close the distance.  Enrique connects with a sharp left hook.  
Enrique tries to land a jab, but Saam slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Enrique walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Enrique pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Saam advances into close range and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Saam lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND DOWN GOES ENRIQUE!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Saam!
