Franþois Van Aecht vs Oliver Rhees

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at Del Mar Fairgrounds, San Diego,  taking place on 17/07/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Franþois Van Aecht (24(18) - 0) who hails from Ghent, Belgium and Oliver Rhees(4 - 1) from Jacksonville, USA.  Van Aecht weighed in at 147 pounds, while Rhees weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Darryl Bruce, and the three ringside judges are Sam Hasson, David Madoc and Lee Bartolome.  

Round 1: 

Van Aecht is looking to close the distance.  Van Aecht pivots from in front of his opponent.  Rhees throws a right hook, but Van Aecht holds on to his opponent.  Van Aecht is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Van Aecht lands a sharp cross.

Van Aecht pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Van Aecht pivots to the side of his opponent.  Van Aecht throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Van Aecht holds on to his opponent.  Van Aecht pushes his forearm into Rhees's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Van Aecht manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Van Aecht lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.

Rhees uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Van Aecht's kidney. As they grapple, Van Aecht pushes his forearm into Rhees's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Van Aecht about fouling.

Van Aecht steps inside and lands two right hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rhees steps to the outside.  Van Aecht is on target with a sharp overhand left.  
Van Aecht lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Rhees quickly recovers.

Van Aecht is on target with a firm left uppercut.  Van Aecht clinches his opponent.  Van Aecht leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Van Aecht strikes his opponents body with a sharp jab.  
Van Aecht advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  Van Aecht clinches his opponent.  Van Aecht uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Rhees behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Van Aecht to stop fouling.  
Van Aecht gets on the inside.  Rhees pivots from in front of his opponent.  Rhees throws a right hook, but Van Aecht clinches his opponent.  Van Aecht leans on his opponent using all his weight. Rhees uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Van Aecht's kidney. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rhees throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Van Aecht is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Van Aecht senses Rhees is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Van Aecht SLAMS a MASSIVE left hook into his opponents face.  RHEES IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  It looks like Rhees has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Van Aecht closes the distance.  Van Aecht pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Van Aecht tries to step out of his opponents range.  Van Aecht sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.

Van Aecht gets on the inside and manouvers Rhees onto the ropes.  Van Aecht pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS RHEES TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Van Aecht lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Van Aecht drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Van Aecht hits home with a cross.  
Van Aecht is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Rhees tries to keep the action at long range.  Van Aecht lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head, AND SENDS RHEES TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Van Aecht!
