Rashid Salaam vs Quon Soon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Federal Territory promoted show at KLCC Banquet Hall, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 08/07/2028:

Clearly AI Malaysia-Federal Territory have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rashid Salaam (11(1) - 0) who hails from Shah Alam, Malaysia and Quon Soon(2 - 4(1) - 2) from Johor Bahru, Malaysia.  Both Salaam and Soon weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehan Azam, and the three ringside judges are Waqar Sabir, Haider Amir and Amjad Ebrahimi.  

Round 1: 

Soon gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Salaam holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Salaam pushes his forearm into Soon's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Soon manouvers Salaam into the blue corner.  Soon throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.

Soon walks Salaam down, trapping him on the ropes.  Salaam lands a cross.  Salaam goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Soon's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Soon cuts off the ring, trapping Salaam on the ropes.  Soon attempts to land a left hook, but Salaam blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Soon's ribs.  
Soon sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Salaam drives a hard jab into his opponents face.
