Oscar Hunua vs Gyes Riga

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane,  taking place on 02/09/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the IRBF Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Oscar Toa Hunua (33(29) - 1) who hails from North Shore, New Zealand and Gyes Riga(21(14) - 5(5)) from Thessaloniki, Greece.  Both Hunua and Riga weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Billy Pryce, and the three ringside judges are Ian McAfee, Mark Lockie and Rich James.  

Round 1: 

Hunua is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Riga throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.

The right shot from Hunua could be enough to force the stoppage!  Hunua lands a left hook, cross and a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Hunua!
