John Lay vs Bryan MacIsaac

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Sunshine Coast Stadium, Sunshine Coast,  taking place on 29/07/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Lay (14(2) - 1(1)) who hails from Perth, Australia and Bryan MacIsaac(18(2) - 8(4)) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Lay and MacIsaac weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Elgin, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Moultrie, Mark Lockie and Chris Forsythe.  

Round 1: 

Lay closes the distance and attempts to land a left uppercut, but MacIsaac sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut to Lay's body.

Lay steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  MacIsaac almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Lay backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  MacIsaac is whaling away with hooks, but Lay keeps his defence tight.  MacIsaac lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.
