Lao-Tzu Hsiao vs Andy Madigan

Boxing Daily Report from the Magicman Promotions promoted show at Magicman Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 26/06/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lao-Tzu Hsiao (26(25) - 0 - 1) who hails from Zigong, China and Andy Madigan(6 - 13(2) - 1) from Dublin, Ireland.  Both Hsiao and Madigan weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan McKay, and the three ringside judges are Michael Sloan, Eoin McCadden and Lewis MacNevin.  

Round 1: 

Hsiao hits home with a cross.  
Hsiao is on target with a firm cross.  
Madigan advances into close range.  Hsiao lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Hsiao clinches his opponent.  Hsiao pushes his forearm into Madigan's face.  The ref breaks Hsiao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Madigan almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Hsiao steps to the outside.  Hsiao feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Hsiao lands an overhand left followed by  two jabs to his opponents head.  
Hsiao lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Madigan closes the distance.  Hsiao throws a right uppercut, but misses the target.  Hsiao clinches his opponent.  Hsiao pushes his forearm into Madigan's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Hsiao tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Hsiao lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Madigan gets on the inside.  Hsiao sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hsiao lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  Hsiao clinches his opponent.  Hsiao leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Madigan pushes his forearm into Hsiao's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Madigan is looking to close the distance.  Hsiao sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Madigan forces Hsiao to retreat onto the ropes.  Hsiao lands two straights followed by a jab to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Madigan quickly recovers. 
Madigan advances into close range.  Hsiao lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body.  
Hsiao feints a jab, and then lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Madigan closes the distance.  Hsiao is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Madigan forces Hsiao to retreat onto the ropes.  Hsiao connects with a sharp cross.  
Madigan advances into close range.  Hsiao connects with a solid left uppercut.  Hsiao ties up his opponent.  Hsiao is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Hsiao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hsiao connects with a FIERCE cross.  MADIGAN IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Madigan advances into close range.  Hsiao lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Madigan cuts off the ring, trapping Hsiao on the ropes.  Madigan attempts to land a jab, but Hsiao blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.  
Hsiao switches the action to the outside and connects with a solid cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Madigan's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Madigan's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Hsiao lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Madigan forces Hsiao to back into the ropes.  Hsiao lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hsiao switches the action to the outside.  Hsiao sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Hsiao lands a cross, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Hsiao is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Hsiao connects with a CRUSHING left uppercut.  MADIGAN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Hsiao DETONATES a WICKED cross on his opponents face.  MADIGAN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  
Hsiao lands a right hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES MADIGAN!  The count reaches 10, but Madigan is unable to get up!  The winner by KO is Hsiao!
