Kei Tomita vs Gao Fai

Boxing Daily Report from the Ninja Warriors promoted show at Northeast Forestry University Gymnasium, Harbin,  taking place on 29/07/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kei Tomita (8(5) - 0) who hails from Osaka, Japan and Gao Fai(8 - 7 - 7) from Shanghai, China.  Both Tomita and Fai weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jun Ji, and the three ringside judges are Sun Tie, Jin Sam and Gao Lim.  

Round 1: 

Tomita tries to keep the action at long range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Fai advances into close range.  Tomita is on target with a firm right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tomita is on target with a cross.  
Tomita lands a solid overhand right.  
Tomita lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tomita tries to keep the action at long range.  Tomita feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Tomita finds the target with a ramrod jab.

Fai gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Fai pivots to the right of his opponent.  Tomita is on target with a cross.  
Fai closes the distance and throws a left hook, but Tomita clinches his opponent.  Fai pushes his forearm into Tomita's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Fai.  
Tomita is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Tomita is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Tomita feints a jab, tricking Fai into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Tomita avoids the shot and counters with a stinging left hook to Fai's body.  
Tomita lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Tomita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Fai connects with a right hook.  
Tomita steps away from his opponent.  Tomita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a sharp cross.  
Fai steps inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Fai throws a left hook, but Tomita ties up his opponent.  Fai leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Tomita hits home with a stinging left hook.  As Fai tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tomita dabs at his face checking for damage.  Tomita has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Fai's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Fai's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Tomita is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a stinging overhand right.  
Tomita sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Tomita digs in a stinging left uppercut to Fai's body.  
Fai is looking to close the distance and manouvers Tomita onto the ropes.  Tomita lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Tomita lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Tomita is on target with a HUGE overhand right.  FAI IS HURT!  
Some sustained pressure from Tomita could be enough to finish Fai!  Tomita lands three consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES FAI!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Fai now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.
