Neil Villalobos vs Noel Colvin

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Bally's Las Vegas, Las Vegas,  taking place on 18/08/2028:

Clearly Hands Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neil Villalobos (17(8) - 1) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Noel Colvin(12 - 6 - 1) from Portland, USA.  Both Villalobos and Colvin weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Weddell, and the three ringside judges are Waqar Othman, Ian Levingston and Alec Rees.  

Round 1: 

Villalobos lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Villalobos advances into close range and slams a spiteful right hook into his opponents body.  COLVIN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Villalobos holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Colvin pushes his forearm into Villalobos's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Villalobos tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Colvin switches the action to the outside.  Villalobos senses Colvin is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Villalobos is on target with a forceful left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  COLVIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Colvin now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Villalobos is on target with a stinging right uppercut to Colvin's body.  
Villalobos digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Villalobos lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Colvin recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Villalobos quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Villalobos lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Villalobos clinches his opponent.  Villalobos leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Villalobos lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Villalobos clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Colvin pushes his forearm into Villalobos's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Colvin to stop fouling.  
Villalobos lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Villalobos digs in a left hook to Colvin's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Colvin's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Colvin's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Colvin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Villalobos is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Villalobos lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Villalobos is on target with a telling right uppercut to Colvin's ribs.  DOWN GOES COLVIN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Villalobos lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Villalobos ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Villalobos pushes his forearm into Colvin's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Villalobos to stop fouling.  Colvin quickly recovers. 
Villalobos digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Villalobos pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Colvin is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Colvin switches the action to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Villalobos closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Villalobos clinches his opponent.  Villalobos uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Colvin behind the head. 
Villalobos senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Colvin and just needs the right shot.  Villalobos lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES COLVIN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Colvin has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Villalobos steps inside and digs in a solid right hook to his opponents body.  
Villalobos lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Villalobos advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Villalobos ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Villalobos's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Villalobos advances into close range and drives a stinging right hook into his opponents body.  Villalobos attempts to land a right hook, but Colvin blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Colvin lands a left uppercut.  
Villalobos closes the distance.  Villalobos pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Villalobos knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Villalobos crashes a DESTRUCTIVE left hook to his opponents ribs.  DOWN GOES COLVIN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Villalobos!
