Seferino Chapa vs Gervasio Meno

Boxing Daily Report from the Bamfokwakye Promotions promoted show at Porfio Saez Gym, Reynosa,  taking place on 23/07/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Mexico-Tamaulipas Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Seferino Chapa (13 - 9 - 1) who hails from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and Gervasio Meno(17(2) - 1 - 2) from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.  Both Chapa and Meno weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Edmundo Tierno, and the three ringside judges are Francisco Rigor, Xeres Sevilla and Carlos Armando.  

Round 1: 

Meno gets on the inside.  Meno quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Chapa tries to land a right uppercut, but Meno slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Meno advances into close range and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Meno connects with a cross.  
Chapa tries to land an overhand left, but Meno sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Meno walks Chapa down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Chapa hits home with a right uppercut.  
Meno lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Chapa hits home with a right hook.  
Chapa is looking to keep his distance and hits home with an overhand left.  
Meno feints a left hook, and then lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Meno is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Chapa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Meno hits home with a cross.
