Ian Carruthers vs David Murphy

Boxing Daily Report from the No Limit promoted show at Brisbane Galbraith, Brisbane,  taking place on 24/08/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Ian Carruthers (1 - 0) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and David Murphy(8 - 11 - 3) from Cairns, Australia.  Both Carruthers and Murphy weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lee Hyland, and the three ringside judges are Mark Lockie, Charlie Cacciari and Mark Taggert.  

Round 1:

Murphy is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Carruthers parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Carruthers sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Carruthers lands a right hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Murphy pivots to the left of his opponent.  Carruthers lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Murphy throws a left uppercut, but Carruthers holds on to his opponent.  Carruthers pushes his forearm into Murphy's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Carruthers.  
Carruthers cuts off the ring, trapping Murphy on the ropes.  Murphy attempts to land a left hook, but Carruthers blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Carruthers is looking to close the distance and manages to force Murphy into the corner.  Carruthers lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Carruthers lands a right hook.  
Carruthers throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Murphy's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Carruthers throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot.  Carruthers holds on to his opponent.  Carruthers leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Carruthers's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Carruthers lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Carruthers is looking to close the distance and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Carruthers lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Carruthers connects with a right hook.
