Arran Jones vs Steven Hammill

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-California promoted show at Rehman Shehata Gym, Los Angeles,  taking place on 02/08/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Arran Jones (18 - 9(2) - 1) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Steven Hammill(17 - 9) from Bakersfield, USA.  Both Jones and Hammill weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Vaughan, and the three ringside judges are Patrick Hardie, Khalid Shaikh and Josh Beltran.  

Round 1: 

Hammill gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Hammill advances into close range.  Jones connects with a right hook.
