Paul Carew vs Clinton Curran

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre, Perth,  taking place on 02/09/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Western Australia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Carew (7(4) - 0) who hails from Perth, Australia and Clinton Curran(7 - 1(1)) from Perth, Australia.  Carew weighed in at 175 pounds, while Curran weighed in at 174 pounds and 2 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ben Banis, and the three ringside judges are John Drummond, Barry Rease and Jack Swavely.  

Round 1:

Curran advances into close range.  As Curran tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Carew dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Carew switches the action to the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Carew lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.

Carew tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Curran attempts to land a jab, but Carew sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.

Carew is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Carew lands a left uppercut, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS CURRAN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  It looks like Curran has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Carew tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND DROPS CURRAN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Carew!
