Stephen Uys vs Lucas Verwoerd

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at Arthur Ashe Tennis Centre, Soweto,  taking place on 18/09/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Stephen Uys (14 - 3) who hails from Roodepoort, South Africa and Lucas Verwoerd(14 - 14(2) - 1) from Khayelitsha, South Africa.  Uys weighed in at 111 pounds and 10 ounces, while Verwoerd weighed in at 111 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Xhosas Kwadwo, and the three ringside judges are Peter Oosthuizen, John Nzambi and Quoitrel Sotyu.
