Joaquin Salas vs Alejandro Mercado

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Miranda promoted show at Caracas Anchondo, Caracas,  taking place on 15/08/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Joaquin Salas (18 - 2) who hails from Maracaibo, Venezuela and Alejandro Mercado(14 - 10(2) - 2) from Caracas, Venezuela.  Both Salas and Mercado weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ora Villarreal, and the three ringside judges are Javier Majano, Cisco Paredes and Vicente Rota.
