Agapetus Capote vs Edmundo Cruz

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Brose Arena, Nuremberg,  taking place on 02/09/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Agapetus Capote (23(17) - 0) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Edmundo Cruz(15 - 8 - 1) from Madrid, Spain.  Both Capote and Cruz weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bem Gerhard, and the three ringside judges are Rodman Markt, Bannruod Aken and Bernie Judd.  

Round 1: 

Capote connects with a firm cross.  
Capote steps to the outside and lands a jab, cross and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Capote throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cruz throws a left uppercut, but Capote ties up his opponent.  Cruz pushes his forearm into Capote's face.  The referee warns Cruz and breaks the clinch.  
Capote is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Capote lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cruz closes the distance.  Capote throws a left hook, but misses the target.  Capote holds on to his opponent.  Capote is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Capote and breaks the clinch.  
Capote is looking to keep his distance and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Cruz steps inside and drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
Capote lands with a spiteful jab.  
Capote is on target with an overhand left.

Capote tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Cruz sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.

Capote switches the action to the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Cruz quickly recovers.

Capote lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Capote lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Capote lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cruz's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Cruz's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Cruz attempts to land a right hook, but Capote blocks the shot and counters with a hurtful cross.  CRUZ IS HURT!  
Capote is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Capote knows Cruz is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Capote lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS CRUZ!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Cruz now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.

Cruz looks like he is out on his feet here...he's unable to defend against these shots!.  He gets hit again flush, and the ref steps in!  He's seen enough!  The winner by TKO is Capote!
