Myrl Mandel vs Alwin Jopp

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Soemmeringhalle, Berlin,  taking place on 10/09/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Myrl Mandel (14(2) - 0) who hails from Nuremberg, Germany and Alwin Jopp(5 - 2 - 1) from Hamburg, Germany.  Mandel weighed in at 199 pounds and 8 ounces, while Jopp weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Garrison Berner, and the three ringside judges are Lewie Sandbach, Sigfrid Krumholz and Arnold Pfab.  

Round 1: 

Mandel switches the action to the outside.  Mandel sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Jopp gets on the inside.  Mandel lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Jopp throws a right uppercut, but Mandel holds on to his opponent.  Mandel leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mandel pushes his forearm into Jopp's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mandel is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Mandel drives a left uppercut into his opponents liver.  
Mandel steps to the outside.  Mandel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.  
Mandel connects with a solid cross.  
Jopp steps inside.  Mandel lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  Mandel ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Mandel pushes his forearm into Jopp's face.  The ref breaks Mandel's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Jopp dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Mandel drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Mandel clinches his opponent.  Jopp leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mandel finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Jopp's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Jopp's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Mandel advances into close range and cuts off the ring, trapping Jopp in a neutral corner.  Mandel lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.
