James Attakora vs John Acquah

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Darko, Kumasi,  taking place on 20/08/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Attakora (12 - 8 - 3) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and John Acquah(10 - 10(1) - 4) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Attakora weighed in at 238 pounds And 11 ounces, while Acquah weighed in at 239 pounds And 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gethin Nkansah, and the three ringside judges are Haider Raad, Paul Kwakye and Malcolm Habe.  

Round 1: 

Acquah gets on the inside.  Attakora throws a left hook, but Acquah holds on to his opponent.  Attakora uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Acquah's kidney. 
Acquah gets on the inside.  Attakora throws a left hook, but Acquah holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Acquah pushes his forearm into Attakora's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Attakora is on target with a right hook.  
Acquah advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Acquah clinches his opponent.  Acquah tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Attakora behind the head. The referee warns Acquah and breaks the clinch.  
Acquah hits home with a cross.  
Acquah is looking to close the distance.  Attakora connects with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Attakora's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Acquah's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Acquah closes the distance.  Attakora tries to land a left hook, but Acquah slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Attakora lands a jab.  
Acquah gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Attakora is on target with a cross.  
Acquah forces Attakora to retreat into a neutral corner.  Acquah sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Acquah gets on the inside.  Acquah digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Acquah wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Attakora.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Acquah's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.

Acquah manouvers Attakora into the red corner.  Acquah sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
