Vijay Bala vs William Linsey

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at UBC Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, Vancouver,  taking place on 10/08/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vijay Bala (8(3) - 0) who hails from Pune, India and William Linsey(1 - 2 - 4) from Ottawa, Canada.  Bala weighed in at 130 pounds, while Linsey weighed in at 129 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Hendren, and the three ringside judges are Noel Louis-Dreyfus, Mark Jones and Sam Mortimer.

Bala cuts off the ring, trapping Linsey in the corner.  Bala lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Bala hits home with a cross.  
Bala is looking to close the distance.  Linsey throws a left hook, but Bala clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Bala pushes his forearm into Linsey's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bala to stop fouling.

Linsey steps away from his opponent.  Bala finds the target with a jab.  
Bala closes the distance.  Linsey throws a left hook, but Bala holds on to his opponent.  Bala uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Linsey behind the head. Bala leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bala uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Linsey's kidney.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Linsey's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Linsey's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Linsey's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Bala steps inside.  Linsey throws a left hook, but Bala clinches his opponent.  Bala leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bala throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Bala advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Bala connects with a stinging cross.  
Bala lands with a hard jab.  
Bala is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Bala attempts to land a jab, but Linsey parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
