Dave Sobukwe vs Joel Van Zyl

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Soshanguve Mpontshane, Soshanguve,  taking place on 31/08/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Sobukwe (18 - 9(1)) who hails from Roodepoort, South Africa and Joel Van Zyl(6 - 1 - 3) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Sobukwe weighed in at 135 pounds and 9 ounces, while Van Zyl weighed in at 135 pounds.    As Sobukwe came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Arali Kessels, and the three ringside judges are Luvolwethu Motupa, Peter Oosthuizen and Zachary Du Toit.
