Kristian Korhonen vs Denholm Bendt

Boxing Daily Report from the Wekinky Promotions promoted show at Hartwall Arena, Helsinki,  taking place on 05/10/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Nordic Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MTV Sport 1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kristian Korhonen (26(13) - 0) who hails from Helsinki, Finland and Denholm Bendt(32(11) - 2(2) - 1) from Roskilde, Denmark.  Both Korhonen and Bendt weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jorma Puikkonen, and the three ringside judges are Urmas Salo, Valdemar Makela and Ville Laitinen.

Bendt is looking to close the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  Korhonen holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bendt pushes his forearm into Korhonen's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.

Korhonen lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Bendt advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Bendt throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bendt walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Korhonen lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Korhonen feints a cross, and then lands a jab to the body, a cross to the head and a jab to the head.  
Bendt attempts to land a right hook, but Korhonen sidesteps and counters with a sharp cross.  
Korhonen steps to the outside and lands a mean overhand right.  BENDT IS HURT!  
Bendt closes the distance and walks Korhonen down, trapping him on the ropes.  Korhonen knows Bendt is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Korhonen lands a cross, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents head, KNOCKING BENDT DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Bendt now seems to have got his legs back.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bendt's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Bendt's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Korhonen senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Bendt and just needs the right shot.  Korhonen lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING BENDT TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Bendt cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Korhonen!
