Henry Quirke vs Doug McNelly

Boxing Daily Report from the Braveheart promoted show at Ron Nixon Gym, Edinburgh,  taking place on 14/09/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Scotland Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Henry Quirke (13 - 3) who hails from Glasgow, UK and Doug McNelly(8 - 17(2) - 1) from Edinburgh, UK.  Both Quirke and McNelly weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Cullen, and the three ringside judges are James Matthew, Peter MacLaughlin and Gordon Loch.  

Round 1: 

Quirke gets on the inside.  Quirke pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
McNelly steps away from his opponent.  McNelly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.  
Quirke lands a jab, cross and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Quirke advances into close range.  Quirke pivots to the right of his opponent.  McNelly throws a left hook, but Quirke holds on to his opponent.  Quirke pushes his forearm into McNelly's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Quirke lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Quirke lands a firm left hook.  
Quirke is on target with a jab.  
Quirke forces McNelly to retreat onto the ropes.  McNelly throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Quirke clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Quirke pushes his forearm into McNelly's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Quirke about fouling.  
McNelly throws a left hook, but Quirke clinches his opponent.  McNelly tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Quirke behind the head. Quirke throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Quirke lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
McNelly hits home with a right hook.  Quirke holds on to his opponent.  Quirke hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Quirke hits home with a stinging jab.  
Quirke is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Quirke holds on to his opponent.  Quirke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Quirke's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Quirke walks McNelly down, trapping him in a corner.  Quirke hits home with a firm right hook.  
Quirke lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Quirke lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Quirke lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.

Quirke closes the distance.  Quirke senses McNelly is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Quirke is on target with a FEARSOME left uppercut.  MCNELLY HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS UNABLE TO GET UP BEFORE THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Quirke!
