Varden Halley vs Fernand Zengue

Boxing Daily Report from the Mulia Promotions promoted show at Maroua Messi, Maroua,  taking place on 15/09/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon-Extreme-Nord Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Varden Halley (11 - 12 - 3) who hails from Maroua, Cameroon and Fernand Zengue(8 - 3 - 1) from Maroua, Cameroon.  Halley weighed in at 130 pounds, while Zengue weighed in at 129 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Pascal Mayebi, and the three ringside judges are Grant Loga, Nicolas Fon and Albain Nguekam.  

Round 1: 

Zengue forces Halley to retreat into the corner.  Halley attempts to land a jab, but Zengue blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Zengue waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Halley throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
