Karl Donaghue vs Paul Devlin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ireland-Munster promoted show at Cork McChesney, Cork,  taking place on 21/09/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Irish-Munster Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Karl Donaghue (8 - 11(2) - 5) who hails from Cork, Ireland and Paul Devlin(10 - 4 - 2) from Limerick, Ireland.  Both Donaghue and Devlin weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Evan Mohan, and the three ringside judges are Felix Curran, Henry Ross and Seamus Kavanagh.  

Round 1: 

Devlin tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Donaghue gets on the inside.  Donaghue connects with a left hook.  Donaghue wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Devlin has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused swelling  around the left eye.  
Donaghue tries to land a jab, but Devlin blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Donaghue gets on the inside.  Donaghue pivots to the right of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.
