Se-jong Chi vs Jeong-ho Um

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Korea-Gwangju promoted show at Bum-young Chee Gym, Gwangju,  taking place on 31/08/2028:

Clearly AI South Korea-Gwangju have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Korea-Gwangju Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Se-jong Chi (7 - 13(1)) who hails from Gwangju, South Korea and Jeong-ho Um(8(1) - 0) from Gwangju, South Korea.  Both Chi and Um weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bo-kyung Lim, and the three ringside judges are Jong-ho Ra, Jong-ho Ra and Young-gwon Jeong.  

Round 1: 

Um is looking to close the distance.  Um pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Chi steps to the outside and connects with a cross.  
Um lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Um holds on to his opponent.  Um is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Um pushes his forearm into Chi's face.  The ref breaks Um's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Um pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Um pivots to the side of his opponent and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Um pivots to the side of his opponent.  Um lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Um clinches his opponent.  Um leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Chi steps away from his opponent and tries to land a cross, but Um slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Um is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Um ties up his opponent.  Um hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Um lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Um lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Um pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into Chi's body.  
Um closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Um backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Chi accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Um.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Chi's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Chi's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Chi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
