Sagaz Gabriel vs Eloy Ponce

Boxing Daily Report from the Cestrian promotions promoted show at Vitoria-Gasteiz Galiano, Vitoria-Gasteiz,  taking place on 01/10/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Spain-Basque Country Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sagaz Gabriel (13(2) - 3(1)) who hails from Bilbao, Spain and Eloy Ponce(11 - 16(3) - 3) from Bilbao, Spain.  Gabriel weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces, while Ponce weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Porfio Salas, and the three ringside judges are Desiderio Angeles, Vicente Bustamante and Miguel Blancas.  

Round 1:

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gabriel dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Gabriel.  That has caused a minor cut above the right eye.  .  
As Gabriel tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Ponce has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused bad damage to the nose.  
Ponce gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Gabriel clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and sends Ponce to the neutral corner.  He takes Gabriel's arm and signals to each of the judges that a point should be deducted!
