Jim Paterson vs Ian Stirling

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-North Carolina promoted show at Charlotte MacMichael, Charlotte,  taking place on 29/09/2028:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jim Paterson (14 - 2(1)) who hails from Charlotte, USA and Ian Stirling(18 - 9) from Greensboro, USA.  Both Paterson and Stirling weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Gerrie, and the three ringside judges are Jack Cameron, Alen Corson and Joel Richard.  

Round 1: 

Paterson feints a cross and triggers a right uppercut counter from Stirling.  Paterson avoids the shot and counters with a cross.  
Stirling quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Paterson closes the distance.  Paterson pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Paterson throws a left uppercut, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Paterson ties up his opponent.  Paterson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Paterson pushes his forearm into Stirling's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Paterson to stop fouling.

Paterson pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Paterson steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Stirling throws a left uppercut, but Paterson holds on to his opponent.  Paterson uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Stirling behind the head. 
Paterson is looking to close the distance and digs in a left hook to Stirling's ribs.  
Paterson lands a left hook to the body followed by two right hook's to the head.  
Paterson walks Stirling down, trapping him in the corner.  Paterson pivots to the side of his opponent.  Paterson connects with a left uppercut.  Paterson clinches his opponent.  Paterson leans on his opponent using all his weight. Stirling pushes his forearm into Paterson's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As Paterson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Stirling dabs at his face checking for damage.
