Ontibile Sumaili vs Jevonte Mitambo

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson promoted show at Kitwe Choongo, Kitwe,  taking place on 03/10/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zambia-Copperbelt Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ontibile Sumaili (24(20) - 0) who hails from Kitwe, Zambia and Jevonte Mitambo(10 - 3 - 3) from Kitwe, Zambia.  Both Sumaili and Mitambo weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Faraji Jobe, and the three ringside judges are Udenwa Ngwira, Deion Kalilele and Tavarius Kasanka.  

Round 1: 

Sumaili feints a jab, and then lands an overhand right to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Mitambo closes the distance.  Sumaili pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sumaili is on target with a right hook to Mitambo's ribcage.  Sumaili clinches his opponent.  Sumaili leans on his opponent using all his weight. Mitambo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sumaili's kidney. 
Sumaili steps away from his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Sumaili sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp cross.  
Sumaili pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Mitambo advances into close range.  Sumaili pivots to the left of his opponent.  Mitambo throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Mitambo is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Sumaili on the ropes.  Sumaili is on target with a firm left hook.  Sumaili ties up his opponent.  Sumaili leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Sumaili pushes his forearm into Mitambo's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mitambo is looking to close the distance.  Sumaili pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a firm left hook.  
Sumaili lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mitambo steps inside.  Sumaili lands a stinging right hook.  
Sumaili steps to the outside and lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Mitambo recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sumaili DETONATES a FEARSOME left uppercut on his opponents face.  MITAMBO IS HURT!  Mitambo quickly recovers. 
Sumaili switches the action to the outside and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Sumaili lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Mitambo throws a right uppercut, but Sumaili clinches his opponent.  Sumaili pushes his forearm into Mitambo's face.  The ref breaks Sumaili's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Mitambo walks Sumaili down, trapping him on the ropes.  Sumaili connects with a firm right hook.  
Mitambo advances into close range.  Sumaili lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Sumaili tries to keep the action at long range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Mitambo steps inside.  Sumaili lands a stinging left hook.  
Mitambo advances into close range.  Sumaili hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Sumaili is looking to keep the action on the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Mitambo sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mitambo's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Mitambo's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Sumaili feints a jab, and then connects with a cross.  
Sumaili pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MITAMBO DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Mitambo recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Mitambo manages to force Sumaili onto the ropes.  Sumaili lands a cross.  
Sumaili sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands an overhand left, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Sumaili feints a left hook, and then hits home with an overhand left.  
Sumaili feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Sumaili is on target with a sharp cross.  
Sumaili quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS MITAMBO DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.  
The right shot from Sumaili could be enough to force the stoppage!  Sumaili is on target with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  DOWN GOES MITAMBO!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT MITAMBO CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Sumaili!
