Dutch Joens vs Bemot Geist

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Brose Arena, Nuremberg,  taking place on 11/11/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dutch Joens (17(6) - 0) who hails from Heilbronn, Germany and Bemot Geist(10 - 10(2) - 2) from Kassel, Germany.  Joens weighed in at 248 pounds and 5 ounces, while Geist weighed in at 231 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Arnald Peachey, and the three ringside judges are Wilber Sapper, Rodman Markt and Archard Labus.  

Round 1: 

Joens feints a jab, fooling Geist into launching a left uppercut counter.  Joens springs the trap and counters with  a right hook.  
Joens is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  Joens ties up his opponent.  Joens is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Joens about fouling.  
Joens closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Geist steps away from his opponent.  Joens lands two jabs followed by an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Joens steps inside.  Geist throws a right hook, but Joens holds on to his opponent.  Joens leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Joens's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Geist steps to the outside.  Joens lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Geist steps away from his opponent.  Joens hits home with a cross.  
Joens steps inside.  Joens sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Geist throws a left hook, but Joens ties up his opponent.  Joens uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Geist's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Joens to stop fouling.  
Joens lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Joens sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Geist attempts to land a jab, but Joens sidesteps and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Geist feints a jab, but Joens does not fall for it and responds with a firm right uppercut.  
Joens advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Geist sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Joens drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
Joens hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Joens lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Joens ties up his opponent.  Joens leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Joens lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Geist switches the action to the outside.  Joens sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand right to the head.  
Joens digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Joens lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Joens lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  Joens holds on to his opponent.  Joens is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Geist's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Geist's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Geist's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Joens throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Joens holds on to his opponent.  Joens is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Joens gets on the inside.  Joens sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a firm left hook.  
Joens is looking to close the distance.  Joens pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Joens hits the target with a hard jab.  
Joens gets on the inside.  Joens connects with a right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Geist dabs at his face checking for damage.
