Roger Pakau vs Joe Ables

Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at RJS Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 29/09/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Roger Pakau (1 - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Joe Ables(1 - 2) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Pakau and Ables weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kenzie Anderson, and the three ringside judges are Dave Loar, Lloyd Rease and Billy Nesmith.  

Round 1: 

Pakau steps inside.  Pakau pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pakau is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Pakau ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Pakau pushes his forearm into Ables's face.  The ref breaks Pakau's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pakau pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ables throws a right hook, but Pakau holds on to his opponent.  Ables pushes his forearm into Pakau's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pakau sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Pakau steps inside and connects with a right uppercut.  Pakau holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Pakau pushes his forearm into Ables's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pakau lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pakau manouvers Ables into the corner.  Pakau pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pakau is on target with a left hook to Ables's body.  Pakau holds on to his opponent.  Pakau is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pakau pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Pakau drives a right hook into Ables's body.  
Pakau throws a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot.  Pakau ties up his opponent.  Pakau uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Ables behind the head. 
Pakau pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Ables's liver.  
Pakau leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ables steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.

Ables quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Pakau lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pakau is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Pakau hits home with a left hook.  Pakau holds on to his opponent.  Pakau is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Pakau wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ables dabs at his face checking for damage.
