Fritzie Gierhart vs Rainer Manthe

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Soemmeringhalle, Berlin,  taking place on 12/11/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Fritzie Gierhart (14(9) - 0) who hails from Dusseldorf, Germany and Rainer Manthe(3 - 2 - 1) from Hamburg, Germany.  Both Gierhart and Manthe weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Neffe Justus, and the three ringside judges are Theobold Helling, Merle Johnke and Frank Meise.  

Round 1: 

Manthe steps inside.  Gierhart lands a left hook.  
Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Manthe closes the distance.  Gierhart lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Gierhart ties up his opponent.  Gierhart is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gierhart connects with a stinging left hook.  
Gierhart lands a jab, left hook and a cross to his opponents head.  
Manthe advances into close range.  Gierhart is on target with a solid left hook to Manthe's liver.  
Gierhart lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Gierhart lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Manthe manages to force Gierhart onto the ropes.  Manthe pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gierhart lands a solid left hook.  
Gierhart switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Gierhart advances into close range and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.

Gierhart cuts off the ring, trapping Manthe in a neutral corner.  Manthe hits home with a cross.

Gierhart sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Manthe tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Gierhart tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Gierhart closes the distance.  Manthe throws a right hook, but Gierhart ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gierhart pushes his forearm into Manthe's face.  The referee warns Gierhart and breaks the clinch.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Manthe's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Manthe's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.

Gierhart closes the distance.  Manthe throws a left hook, but Gierhart clinches his opponent.  Gierhart leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Gierhart's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross to the body followed by two jab's to the head.  
Manthe gets on the inside.  Gierhart is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  Gierhart holds on to his opponent.  Gierhart uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Manthe behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Manthe steps inside and manages to force Gierhart onto the ropes.  Gierhart lands a SAVAGE left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE MANTHE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Gierhart clinches his opponent.  Gierhart leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Manthe dabs at his face checking for damage.  Manthe recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Manthe gets on the inside.  Gierhart lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Gierhart lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Gierhart tries to step out of his opponents range.  Gierhart quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Gierhart sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a jab.

Gierhart hits home with a firm cross.  
Gierhart drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Gierhart connects with a cross.  
Gierhart sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Gierhart tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a jab.  
Manthe quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gierhart is on target with a firm left hook to Manthe's body.  
Manthe lands a right hook.

Manthe steps inside.  Gierhart lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Gierhart drives a stinging left hook into Manthe's body.  Manthe wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gierhart dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Gierhart steps to the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Gierhart lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Manthe advances into close range.  Gierhart is on target with a left hook.  
Gierhart lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Manthe almost instantly gets his legs back.

Manthe is looking to close the distance.  Gierhart whips in a FIERCE left hook to his opponents body.  MANTHE IS HURT!  
Gierhart is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Gierhart lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS MANTHE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 8.  Manthe now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Gierhart lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Manthe is looking to close the distance.  Gierhart connects with a stinging right hook.  Gierhart clinches his opponent.  Gierhart leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Gierhart uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Manthe behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gierhart to stop fouling.  
Gierhart sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Gierhart quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid overhand right.  
Gierhart feints a left, and then lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Gierhart lands a straight 1 - 2, AND MANTHE IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Gierhart!
