Gervasio Ortiz vs Fanuco Siman

Boxing Daily Report from the Habe Promotions promoted show at Quito Soriano, Quito,  taking place on 16/10/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Gervasio Ortiz (13 - 5(1) - 6) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Fanuco Siman(20 - 7(1) - 1) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Ortiz and Siman weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Vallez, and the three ringside judges are Cris Lainez, Neper Cifuentes and Alvino Casiano.  

Round 1: 

Siman closes the distance.  Siman pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Ortiz is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a jab.

Siman steps inside.  Ortiz digs in a right hook to Siman's ribcage.  Ortiz tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ortiz.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of the right eye.  .
