Jim Higgins vs George Buchanan

Boxing Daily Report from the Munachoonga Promotions promoted show at Gavin Griffith Gym, Edinburgh,  taking place on 22/10/2028:

Clearly Munachoonga Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Scotland Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jim Higgins (6 - 9 - 3) who hails from Glasgow, UK and George Buchanan(6 - 6 - 6) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Higgins and Buchanan weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Matthew, and the three ringside judges are Iain MacCracken, Peter McAlister and David MacInnes.  

Round 1: 

Higgins advances into close range.  Buchanan pivots to the side of his opponent.  Higgins digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Buchanan hits home with a cross.  
Higgins steps inside.  Buchanan tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Higgins is looking to close the distance.  Higgins hits home with a right hook.  As Higgins tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Buchanan dabs at his face checking for damage.

Higgins steps inside.  Buchanan quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Buchanan manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Buchanan throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Buchanan.  That has caused nasty swelling  around the left eye.  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  We are going to the scorecards.
