Pyotr Zaitsev vs Vikenti Kovalchik

Boxing Daily Report from the Kwabi Promotions promoted show at Tolyatti Davydov, Tolyatti,  taking place on 29/09/2028:

Clearly Kwabi Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Samara Oblast Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Pyotr Zaitsev (9 - 0) who hails from Samara, Russia and Vikenti Kovalchik(7 - 9) from Samara, Russia.  Both Zaitsev and Kovalchik weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gennady Prudnikov, and the three ringside judges are Kir Karasev, Viktor Sokoloff and Fadei Simonich.  

Round 1: 

Zaitsev lands a sharp jab.  
Zaitsev closes the distance.  Zaitsev digs in a left hook to Kovalchik's liver.  As Kovalchik tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Zaitsev dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Zaitsev closes the distance.  Zaitsev quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kovalchik throws a right uppercut, but Zaitsev holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Zaitsev pushes his forearm into Kovalchik's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kovalchik throws a left hook, but Zaitsev clinches his opponent.  Zaitsev is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Zaitsev and breaks the clinch.  
Zaitsev closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Zaitsev lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Zaitsev lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Zaitsev hits home with a sharp jab.

Zaitsev cuts off the ring, trapping Kovalchik on the ropes.  Zaitsev throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Zaitsev ties up his opponent.  Zaitsev leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.
