Sam Preece vs Sumner Thil

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Pavillon de Juenesse, Quebec City,  taking place on 11/11/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Preece (20(9) - 2) who hails from Winnipeg, Canada and Sumner Thil(17(1) - 2) from Nancy, France.  Preece weighed in at 118 pounds, while Thil weighed in at 117 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Olier Paradis, and the three ringside judges are Elliot Girardot, Brendan Aitken and Prewitt Gedeon.  

Round 1: 

Preece is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to Thil's ribs.  Preece holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Preece pushes his forearm into Thil's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Preece about fouling.
