Josh Stephens vs Nick Mulherin

Boxing Daily Report from the Billy Smith promoted show at Birmingham Mescall, Birmingham,  taking place on 02/11/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Alabama Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Josh Stephens (21 - 3(1) - 1) who hails from Montgomery, USA and Nick Mulherin(7 - 9(1) - 4) from Mobile, USA.  Both Stephens and Mulherin weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen Belliston, and the three ringside judges are Sam Ireland, Brad Temple and Louis Garrow.  

Round 1: 

Stephens lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Stephens pivots from in front of his opponent.  Mulherin throws a right hook, but Stephens holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Stephens pushes his forearm into Mulherin's face.  The ref breaks Stephens's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
