Nick Beat vs Ben Blackman

Boxing Daily Report from the RJS Promotions promoted show at RJS Gym, North Shore,  taking place on 18/10/2028:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Nick Beat (2 - 0) who hails from Auckland, New Zealand and Ben Blackman(1 - 3) from North Shore, New Zealand.  Beat weighed in at 227 pounds and 14 ounces, while Blackman weighed in at 238 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ollie Scobie, and the three ringside judges are Chris Heretini, Joey Bridgeforth and Kahorere Hakaipari.  

Round 1: 

Beat advances into close range.  Blackman attempts to land a left hook, but Beat sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Blackman tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Blackman's body.  
Beat drops his hands, and waves his opponent in.  Blackman throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Beat steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Beat ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Beat's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Beat drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Beat steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Blackman quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Beat is on target with a left hook.  
Beat hits home with a left uppercut.  
Beat forces Blackman to retreat onto the ropes.  Beat quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Beat advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Beat tries to land a left hook, but Blackman sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Beat lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the body.  Beat ties up his opponent.  Beat leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Beat's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Beat stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Blackman tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Beat closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Blackman's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Blackman's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
