Jawad Jasem vs Sajid Jalili

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Police Officers' Club Stadium, Dubai,  taking place on 16/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the UAE Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jawad Jasem (26(14) - 1(1) - 1(NC)) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Sajid Jalili(14(1) - 2) from Dubai, UAE.  Jasem weighed in at 154 pounds, while Jalili weighed in at 153 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Gazi Maalouf, and the three ringside judges are Asif Hamra, Majid Alshehri and Ali Baccash.  

Round 1: 

Jalili steps inside and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Jasem pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jasem connects with a left hook.  Jasem ties up his opponent.  Jalili leans on his opponent using all his weight. Jasem is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Jasem is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Jasem throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Jasem holds on to his opponent.  Jasem is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Jasem's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Jasem drives a left hook into Jalili's liver.  
Jalili digs in a left hook to Jasem's body.  Jalili throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.  
Jasem switches the action to the outside and is on target with a firm cross.  
Jasem lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Jasem pivots to the left of his opponent.  Jalili hits home with a left hook.  
Jalili is on target with a left hook.  
Jasem steps to the outside and lands a solid overhand left.  
Jasem switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Jalili advances into close range.  Jasem pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Jalili gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Jasem clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Jalili pushes his forearm into Jasem's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Jasem tries to keep the action at long range.  Jasem sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid overhand right.  
Jalili lands a right hook to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.

Jasem steps away from his opponent.  Jasem feints a cross, and then attempts to land a jab, but Jalili sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Jalili gets on the inside and forces Jasem to back into the ropes.  Jalili connects with a right hook.  
Jasem lands a jab, overhand left and a cross to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Jalili steps inside.  Jasem is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Jasem lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, KNOCKING JALILI DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Jalili now seems to have his senses back.  
Jasem pivots from in front of his opponent and drives a stinging right hook into his opponents ribs.  
Jasem is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand right.  
Jalili hits the target with a hard jab.  
Jalili gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jalili advances into close range and connects with a left uppercut.  
Jalili lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.  Jasem holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Jasem pushes his forearm into Jalili's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Jasem about fouling.  
Jalili tries to land a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  JALILI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Jasem!
