Jake Namono vs Leon Vernor

Boxing Daily Report from the Magicman Promotions promoted show at Magicman Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 30/10/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jake Katonda Namono (20(16) - 0) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Leon Vernor(3 - 17(3) - 2) from London, UK.  Both Namono and Vernor weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Sloan, and the three ringside judges are Nathan McKay, Jason Farrell and Lee Donnell.  

Round 1: 

Namono gets on the inside and lands a solid left hook.  
Namono lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Namono holds on to his opponent.  Namono is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Namono pushes his forearm into Vernor's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Namono to stop fouling.  
Namono lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono gets on the inside and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Namono lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono steps inside and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Namono steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Namono advances into close range.  Vernor sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Vernor throws a right hook, but Namono ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Namono lands a left uppercut.  
Namono lands a cross.  
Namono lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Namono holds on to his opponent.  Namono pushes his forearm into Vernor's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Namono.  Namono throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  Vernor almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Namono manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Vernor tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Namono tries to step out of his opponents range and hits the target with a sharp jab.  
Namono advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Namono steps to the outside and lands two jabs followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Namono lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Namono advances into close range and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Vernor quickly recovers. 
Namono connects with a solid right hook.  
Namono lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Namono holds on to his opponent.  Namono leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Namono lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Vernor quickly recovers. 
Vernor gets on the inside.  Namono quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Namono connects with a right hook.  Namono ties up his opponent.  Vernor tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Namono behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Namono lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Namono is on target with a stinging cross.  
Namono lands a ramrod jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Vernor's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Vernor's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Vernor sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Namono lands a sharp jab.  
Vernor gets on the inside.  Namono connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Namono lands a right uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Namono gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Namono lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Namono cuts off the ring, trapping Vernor in a corner.  Namono knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Namono lands a nasty cross.  VERNOR IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 5.  
Namono switches the action to the outside.  Namono is on target with a mean right hook.  VERNOR IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Vernor now seems to have his senses back.  
Namono lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Namono advances into close range and hits home with a right hook.  
Namono lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Namono drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Namono steps inside and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Vernor quickly recovers. 
Vernor throws a right hook, but Namono holds on to his opponent.  Vernor pushes his forearm into Namono's face.  The referee warns Vernor and breaks the clinch.  
Namono sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Namono lands a spiteful left hook.  VERNOR WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Namono thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Vernor away.  Namono lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, AND VERNOR IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Namono!
