Brett Penman vs Davie Kimes

Boxing Daily Report from the Kanda Promotions promoted show at Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Vancouver,  taking place on 06/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Canada-British Columbia Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brett Penman (19 - 1) who hails from Surrey, Canada and Davie Kimes(7 - 5 - 1) from Surrey, Canada.  Penman weighed in at 200 pounds, while Kimes weighed in at 199 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Euan Mair, and the three ringside judges are Erec Adore, Mark Bryson and Aleron Rodin.  

Round 1: 

Penman drives a solid jab into his opponents face.  
Penman steps inside.  Penman pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Kimes is starting to lose his head here!   He steps in close and strikes his opponent with a blatant headbutt!  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  The ref halts the action and sends Penman to the neutral corner.    He tells Kimes to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Penman gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Kimes's ribs.
