Obafemi Offiah vs Segun Sanya

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Kano State promoted show at Kano Akanji, Kano,  taking place on 26/11/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Obafemi Offiah (18 - 4 - 3) who hails from Lagos, Nigeria and Segun Sanya(16 - 10 - 5) from Kano, Nigeria.  Offiah weighed in at 121 pounds and 6 ounces, while Sanya weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Theophilus Adeniran, and the three ringside judges are James Obekpa, Rehan Pasha and Chigozie Oliha.  

Round 1: 

Offiah gets on the inside.  Offiah pivots to the side of his opponent.  Sanya connects with a right hook.  
Sanya is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Offiah closes the distance.  Offiah retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Sanya accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Offiah.  Sanya connects with a right uppercut.

Offiah switches the action to the outside and lands a jab.  
Sanya advances into close range.  Offiah digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sanya steps inside.  Sanya lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Offiah.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
Sanya gets on the inside.  Offiah tries to land a left uppercut, but Sanya blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Offiah throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.
