Jose Pedrosa vs Santiago Diez

Boxing Daily Report from the Barry Scott Promotions promoted show at Guatemala City Mujica, Guatemala City,  taking place on 03/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Jose Pedrosa (3(1) - 0) who hails from Mixco, Guatemala and Santiago Diez(5 - 11(4) - 6) from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.  Both Pedrosa and Diez weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ovidio Simeon, and the three ringside judges are Orlando Canada, Pancho Banegas and Aimon Benito.  

Round 1: 

Pedrosa closes the distance and lands a right hook.  Pedrosa clinches his opponent.  Pedrosa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Diez throws a right hook, but Pedrosa ties up his opponent.  Pedrosa is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pedrosa about fouling.  
Pedrosa sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Diez throws a left hook, but Pedrosa holds on to his opponent.  Pedrosa tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Diez's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pedrosa to stop fouling.  
Pedrosa pivots to the left of his opponent.  Pedrosa lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Pedrosa holds on to his opponent.  Pedrosa is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pedrosa is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Pedrosa clinches his opponent.  Pedrosa leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Pedrosa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pedrosa lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.
