Rob Wyly vs Clinton Nasso

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Robina Stadium, Gold Coast,  taking place on 20/01/2029:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rob Wildman Wyly (6(3) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Clinton Nasso(13 - 1 - 1) from Perth, Australia.  Both Wyly and Nasso weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dan Nish, and the three ringside judges are Ian Norris, Ian McAfee and Rich James.  

Round 1: 

Wyly is looking to close the distance.  Nasso pivots to the left of his opponent.  Nasso throws a left hook, but Wyly ties up his opponent.  Nasso is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Nasso to stop fouling.  
Wyly is on target with a solid right hook.  
Wyly hits home with a right uppercut.  Wyly holds on to his opponent.  Wyly is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Wyly forces Nasso to retreat onto the ropes.  Wyly is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Wyly digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  Wyly holds on to his opponent.  Nasso uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Wyly's kidney. 
Wyly hits home with a sharp right uppercut.  
Nasso sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Wyly lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Wyly ties up his opponent.  Wyly is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Wyly pushes his forearm into Nasso's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Nasso tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Nasso is looking to keep his distance.  Wyly hits home with a sharp cross.  
Wyly is looking to close the distance.  Wyly quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to Nasso's liver.  
Wyly lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Wyly connects with a sharp right hook.  Nasso wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Wyly has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Wyly steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Wyly lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Wyly holds on to his opponent.  Wyly leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Wyly pushes his forearm into Nasso's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Wyly is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Nasso's ribcage.  
Wyly walks Nasso onto the ropes.  Wyly drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  Wyly attempts to land a left hook, but Nasso blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nasso hits home with a firm left hook.  
Wyly tries to land a jab, but Nasso sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Wyly lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Wyly manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Wyly is on target with a solid right hook to Nasso's body.  
Wyly lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Wyly is looking to close the distance and drives a sharp left hook into Nasso's body.  
Wyly gets on the inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Wyly lands a sharp right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Nasso's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Nasso's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Nasso's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Nasso lands a left hook.  
Wyly hits home with a solid right hook.  
Wyly digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Wyly sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Nasso throws a left hook, but Wyly ties up his opponent.  Nasso uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Wyly behind the head. 
Wyly lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Wyly pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Wyly closes the distance and drives a solid right hook into Nasso's ribcage.  
Wyly whips in a big left hook to Nasso's body.  NASSO IS HURT!  Wyly clinches his opponent.  Nasso throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref breaks Wyly's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Some sustained pressure from Wyly could be enough to finish Nasso!  Wyly lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND NASSO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Nasso now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Wyly sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Nasso drives a left hook into Wyly's liver.

Wyly stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Wyly crashes a spiteful left uppercut to Nasso's body.  NASSO IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Wyly senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Wyly lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND DOWN GOES NASSO!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Wyly lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS NASSO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Nasso has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Wyly pivots to the left of his opponent.  Wyly tries to land a jab, but Nasso blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Nasso switches the action to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Wyly parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Wyly closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Nasso hits home with a right uppercut.  
Wyly closes the distance.  Nasso pivots to the right of his opponent.  Wyly lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Wyly lands a SAVAGE cross.  NASSO IS HURT!  
Nasso now seems to have his senses back.  
Wyly tries to land a right hook, but Nasso blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Wyly connects with a FEROCIOUS left hook.  NASSO IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE REMAINS ON THE CANVAS AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Wyly!
