Owen Mewies vs Mark Gam

Boxing Daily Report from the Henry Hearn promoted show at Jasper Ostergard Gym, London,  taking place on 15/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the British-Southern England Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Owen Mewies (11 - 9(1) - 1) who hails from Bristol, UK and Mark Gam(9 - 7 - 1) from London, UK.  Both Mewies and Gam weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael McConkie, and the three ringside judges are Leighton Dodd, Colin Kendrick and Dom Pullar.  

Round 1: 

Gam sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mewies hits home with a cross.  
Gam gets on the inside.  Mewies lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Mewies throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Gam time to recover.  
Mewies steps to the outside and attempts to land an overhand right, but Gam slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mewies closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mewies steps to the outside.  Mewies feints a left, and then lands a cross.  
Mewies is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  
Mewies tries to land a left uppercut, but Gam blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.

Gam forces Mewies to retreat onto the ropes.  Mewies hits home with a right hook.  
Gam closes the distance.  Mewies pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.
