Evan Connell vs Rhys Lawgoch

Boxing Daily Report from the tG promoted show at tG Gym, Brighton and Hove,  taking place on 28/11/2028:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Evan Connell (7 - 0) who hails from Belfast, UK and Rhys Lawgoch(3 - 2 - 2) from Sheffield, UK.  Connell weighed in at 135 pounds, while Lawgoch weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Hugh McCabe, and the three ringside judges are Chris McSween, Patrick Cameron and Peter Arras.  

Round 1: 

Connell quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Connell is on target with a right hook.  Connell ties up his opponent.  Connell leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Connell's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Lawgoch throws a left hook, but Connell ties up his opponent.  Lawgoch uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Connell's kidney. Connell pushes his forearm into Lawgoch's face.  The referee warns Connell and breaks the clinch.

Connell feints a left, and then hits home with a stinging right hook.
