Zacarias Alma vs Xalvador Marrufo

Boxing Daily Report from the JH Promotions promoted show at Manley Field House, Syracuse,  taking place on 13/01/2029:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Zacarias Alma (8(1) - 0) who hails from Mixco, Guatemala and Xalvador Marrufo(9 - 12 - 5) from Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.  Both Alma and Marrufo weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Davie Sanchez, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Ferguson, Cristiano Grimaldi and Nico Rossettini.  

Round 1: 

Marrufo advances into close range.  Alma is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Alma pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Marrufo throws a left hook, but Alma ties up his opponent.  Alma is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Alma.  
Alma is on target with a solid left hook.  Alma ties up his opponent.  Alma leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Alma gets on the inside.  Alma backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Marrufo accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Alma.  Alma wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Marrufo has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Alma digs in a left hook to Marrufo's body.  
Alma tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Alma throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Alma ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Alma advances into close range.  Alma lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Marrufo wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alma dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alma is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two straights followed by an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Alma throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Alma steps to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Alma digs in a firm right hook to his opponents body.
