Boxing Daily Report from the Hotstepper Promotions promoted show at Westin Zagreb Hotel, Zagreb,  taking place on 23/12/2028:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mato The Goliath Grdic (4(1) - 0) who hails from Zagreb, Croatia and Guillaume Geniwaert(3 - 2 - 1) from Rotterdam, Netherlands.  Both Grdic and Geniwaert weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blaž Magzan, and the three ringside judges are Dragutin Jakopovic, Blaž Vranjkovic and Karlo Malic.  

Round 1: 

Grdic lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Geniwaert advances into close range.  Grdic leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Geniwaert steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Grdic hits home with a right hook.  Grdic clinches his opponent.  Grdic is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Grdic lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Grdic hits home with a solid right hook.  Grdic clinches his opponent.  Grdic throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Grdic strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Grdic lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Grdic lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.

Geniwaert sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Grdic throws a right uppercut, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Grdic ties up his opponent.  Grdic is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Geniwaert throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Grdic lands a right hook.  Grdic clinches his opponent.  Grdic tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Geniwaert behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Grdic to stop fouling.  
Grdic lands with a stinging jab.  
Grdic connects with a right hook.  
Grdic lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Geniwaert pivots to the side of his opponent.  Geniwaert throws a left hook, but Grdic clinches his opponent.  Grdic leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Grdic lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Grdic lands a jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He then lands a straight 1 - 2.

Grdic is looking to close the distance and connects with a FIERCE right hook.  GENIWAERT WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Geniwaert recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Grdic is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Grdic lands a jab to Geniwaert's body.  
Grdic steps inside and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Grdic ties up his opponent.  Grdic leans on his opponent using all his weight. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Grdic to stop holding.  
Grdic lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Geniwaert hits home with a cross.  
Grdic advances into close range and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Grdic is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Geniwaert recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Grdic lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.

Grdic advances into close range.  Geniwaert is desperate to make more of an impact on his opponent.   He pushes his head into Grdic's face...that looked intentional!  The ref separates the two fighters and tells Geniwaert to watch his head.  He gives Grdic a few minutes to recover.  
Grdic lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
You can sense Geniwaert is getting frustrated in there.    He throws a hook, and catches Grdic low!  The ref halts the action and sends Grdic to the neutral corner.    He warns Geniwaert that he is heading for a point deduction.  
Grdic lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Grdic tries to keep the action at long range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head, DROPPING GENIWAERT TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Grdic!
